Description: Innovative cassette magazine edited by Bruce Milne and Andrew Maine. Fast Forward dealt with Australian and international music and culture. The program included music, interviews, serials and skits. Nearly all of the music tracks are live versions or demos, and are unavailable elsewhere. Artists represented include Australian post-punk luminaries Birthday Party, The, Equal Local, Xero (2), Go-Betweens, The, Dead Can Dance, Plays With Marionettes, and Laughing Clowns, amongst many others. Early editions of Fast Forward came in printed paper covers but from issue 4 the cassettes were packaged in a vinyl pack and included a booklet. Fast Forward was published from 1980 to 1982 and had 12 issues. Issue 8/9 was a double cassette.
