Inkey$

INKEY$ was an audio magazine produced by Jeanette and Dennis Emsley. There were at least 16 issues produced.

They were presented on C90 cassettes in a soft plastic postal case with a folded computer print-out insert. Inkeys was begun by Jeanette and Dennis Emsley and Andy Gee sold it through Lotus Records mail order, which started a lifelong friendship with Jeanette.

Together, the three organised the UK Electronica Festival from 1983 to 1985, then again in 1990, while Andy Gee single-handedly did the ones in 1986 and 1987. They did Inkeys 1 to 16, then, with blessing from Jeanette, Andy Gee carried on the torch for Inkeys 17 to 19 on CD-R. Jeanette is Nessie Richards now.
