Description:
Early Australian industrial / experimental tape label. Founded in 1979 by Tom Ellard, who named it after the TRS-80 home computer. Artists who released cassettes on Terse besides Severed Heads included Wet Taxis, Hiroshima Chair, Bleeding Arseholes, Mice Against God, Negative Reaction, Mesh, Carnage and Kurt Volentine. After running it's course ca. mid 80's Tom Ellard kept using the name for his own recording studio. When he returned to self-publishing he choose Sevcom (short for Severed Communications) as new label name.
